Research conducted by the CDC has indicated that white children are more likely to be identified as autistic than black and Hispanic children. This means these groups of children may not have substantial access to resources they could benefit from. Many systemic barriers (i.e., lack of Spanish-speaking practitioners, documentation laws, and financial disadvantages) disproportionately affect these populations.
